Homeschool Program
Garden Music School is excited to introduce our Homeschool Music Lab Program!
Classes start August 7th 2024
Main instruments focused on bass, guitar, drums, voice, and piano.
From ages 9+, the program hosts a year-long curriculum that takes the students through 4 levels of music education with levels running about 3 months long.
(Inquire about our junior music program).
Homeschool Program Schedule
- 9:00 am to 10:00 am: Students will typically be in the theatre where they will be taught harmony, theory, and music reading.
- 10:00 am to 11:15 am: Students will be divided into groups where they will be taught on specific instruments. These classes will focus on technique of their respective instrument (Drums, Bass, Vocals, Guitar, Piano).
- 11:15 am to 1:00 pm: Classes will regroup at the stage and will be taught stage etiquette and how to turn on stage equipment.
**Students as they progress will play and jam with teachers on stage**
Reading
Learn music reading with our modern fun method.
Instrument Playing Technique
Learn and develop correct exercises and techniques.
Ear Training
Identify chords, scales, progressions by ear.
Recording Studio
Access to a Professional Recording Studio.
Performances
Performance opportunities at local venues.
Stage Time
Classes on our professional stage every week.
Harmony
Learn how chords and scales are use in music.
All our homeschool students:
- Have access to practice rooms if available (ask the front desk for available times).
- Have access to Ear Training Lab.
- Teachers are open to special tutoring on Wednesdays from 12:00pm to 12:30pm.
Every level will conclude with a written and practical exam that will graduate students to the next level. Once the year is complete, and proficiency is evaluated, they will be inducted to our private lesson system within GMS!
Classes are every Wednesday from 10:00am to 1:00pm
Faculty is comprised of the best highly trained musicians in the area!
