Founded over nine years ago by renowned Latin American musician Jorge Cid, Garden Music School was created to provide Winter Garden with an unprecedented music education experience. Drawing on his extensive background as a singer-songwriter, Cid established the institution to elevate local music instruction through a structured, comprehensive curriculum.
At the heart of the school’s philosophy are four foundational pillars essential for developing a well-rounded musician: Ear Training, Instrument-playing Technique, Harmony, and Stage Presence. Beyond traditional individual instruction, Garden Music School prides itself on dynamic music workshops where students play alongside peers on different instruments. These collaborative sessions allow aspiring musicians to master teamwork, adapt to ensemble playing, and build authentic stage confidence.

Born in Valencia, Venezuela, Jorge’s journey began with a relentless drive to master his craft. He pursued formal music education at the prestigious Musicians Institute in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, refining his skills alongside some of the industry’s top talents. His exceptional versatility as a bassist, singer-songwriter, and lyricist quickly caught the attention of Latin music icons. Encouraged by celebrated music producer Luis Romero, Jorge launched an international career, notably touring as the bassist for legendary Latin GRAMMY® winner Franco de Vita and performing on global stages.
Jorge’s dynamic stage presence and ability to blend rock, pop-rock, and rich Latin rhythms have earned him accolades across the industry. As a member of the Latin GRAMMY® Academy, he remains actively connected to the highest standards of the global music scene. His music has reached millions of listeners across the globe, featured on prime-time hit telenovelas across major Latin American networks.
